This page explains what information we collect when you use our website or become a client, what we do with it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.
Mike’s Marketing Solutions Inc. is a marketing agency based at 18 Beverley St., Toronto, Ontario. We provide social media management, paid search advertising, email marketing, website design and development, and content creation to businesses in Toronto and across Ontario.
In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Mike’s Marketing Solutions Inc., and “you” means anyone visiting our website, contacting us, or working with us as a client.
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry or do the work you’ve hired us for.
Information you give us. Your name, business name, email address, website, and whatever you write in a contact form or email.
Newsletter subscriptions. Your first name and email address, if you choose to subscribe.
Website usage data. Pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected in aggregate through analytics tools.
Client account information. If you hire us, the logins, billing details and business information needed to run your marketing.
We do not ask for, and would rather not receive, sensitive personal information such as health details, government identification numbers, or full payment card numbers by email.
We use the information you give us to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, deliver the services you’ve hired us for, invoice you, and keep you informed about your account.
We use website usage data to understand which pages are useful, fix problems, and improve the site. This is looked at in aggregate — we’re not tracking individuals around the internet.
We never sell your information, and we don’t rent or trade contact lists with anyone.
Our website uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — to remember your preferences and to measure how the site is used. Some are necessary for the site to work; others are used for analytics and advertising measurement.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work, though some parts may be less convenient.
If you’ve arrived here from one of our ads, the advertising platform may set a cookie so we can tell which campaigns bring visitors. We see totals, not individuals.
We use established third-party platforms to run our business and our clients’ marketing. Each has its own privacy policy, and your information is handled under their terms as well as ours.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that’s the case, your information is subject to the laws of those countries.
Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) governs commercial email. We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it, or who have an existing business relationship with us.
Every marketing email we send identifies us clearly, includes our contact details, and has a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured immediately.
Replying to a quote, an invoice or a project email is not marketing — we’ll still contact you about work in progress after you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
When you’re a client, we often work inside your accounts and handle information belonging to your customers — for example, a subscriber list we’re sending a campaign to, or enquiries coming through a form we built.
We treat that information as yours, not ours. We use it only to do the work you’ve asked for, we don’t copy it into our own marketing lists, and we don’t share it with other clients or third parties beyond the platforms needed to deliver the work.
If our engagement ends, we hand over or delete that data at your instruction, and we remove our access to your accounts.
Enquiries that don’t become work are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Client records, contracts and invoices are kept for seven years, as required for Canadian tax and accounting purposes. Project files and creative work are kept for as long as you’re a client, and handed over when we part ways.
We use reputable providers, keep access limited to the people who need it, use a password manager and two-factor authentication on the accounts we manage, and keep client logins out of plain email wherever possible.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you promptly and explain what happened and what we did about it.
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask us to:
Email us and we’ll action it, usually the same week. If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled a privacy concern, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
We may update this policy as our business or the tools we use change. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we’ll tell clients and subscribers by email rather than quietly editing the page.
Questions about this policy, or about information we hold? Email us and a person will answer — not a form response.
